"The Sunday Post"

It has been a satisfying week here in the studio... mainly due to the final emergence of my beach hut napkins. These have been in the pipeline for a little while, and have been requested at numerous fairs, so I thought it was about time I gave the people what they wanted, so to speak! Each hand made napkin is individually stitched with navy blue beach huts, and they co-ordinate well with the rest of my beach huts range. They are available in sets of 4 or 6, and priced at £16 and £24, respectively. Aside from my napkin-creating I have been stepping up my running routine in the mornings, it's still far from marathon-potential, but I'm working on it (very gradually)! In the next few weeks I will be working on a new range of designs, so watch this space! I hope you all have an excellent week, stay tuned x

chocolate

Day 11: Eleven whole days since the beginning of Lent, and already the strain is beginning to show... for some unfathomable reason there are chocolate stashes strategically placed around the house. Perhaps leftovers from pre-Lent, which we clearly should have thought through in advance and removed the temptation. Not only are there chocolates covered in colourful and appealing-looking wrappers, (although at least the cocoa smell is contained within this bright layer), but now there are naked chocolates, no wrappers in sight, and wafting chocolatey goodness everywhere! But I am remaining strong. And am sewing new napkins, beach huts at the moment, a perfect distraction :)

Spring has sprung!

Spring has sprung at my local farm, and I just had to post this picture that I took at the weekend. The black calf in the middle is just so cute! I went on this little trip in between sewing herds of egg cosies; pretty buttercup, 'love', and cream 'egg' cosies, to keep up with the Easter demand! And I've also got a new stockist to announce, Evie & Me Interiors, so if you are in Guernsey or planning a visit, pop into Evie & Me, which will be opening for business on the 10th March, in Market Street, St Peter Port, Guernsey.

belated "Sunday Post"

Hello, happy Monday, and welcome to my belated Sunday Post! This comes to you a day late due to Valentines weekend celebrations with friends up in Leeds, only my second trip to the city, and it involved lots of fun, dancing, and homemade chocolate cake! My northern adventures were swiftly followed by a case of extreme exhaustion from 24 hours of travelling, and then early to bed last night!
This morning I am up with the skylarks and ready for the new week. I have materials and designs ready for new cushions that I am beginning this week, and I'm excited to see how they look!
Last week I updated my website with extra 'feedback' sections for my products, have a look at www.charlottemacey.co.uk. In a few days I hope to have my three new cushions up on my website too! I hope you all have a lovely week :)

"The Sunday Post"

Welcome to the second edition of my weekly blog, 'The Sunday Post'! I have decided that Sunday is a good day to catch up on all the happenings and exciting news from the last seven days! So here we go...
I spent the majority of the week preparing cosies and tea towels in readiness for a Valentines fair in the beautiful National Trust town of Lacock. I had a lovely day meeting new people at the fair, Lacock was stunning (can't believe I have never been there before!), and my egg cosies went down a treat!
As well as sewing cosies galore I have been making customised Valentines Day cards using my 'dotty hearts' design and the name of the card recipient, and I love the results!
Am now in the midst of a relaxing Sunday evening with a gin and tonic :) and on with the orders tomorrow, I hope you have a wonderful week! x

just brilliant...

I spotted this brilliant little image this morning, and just had to share it with you! It is exactly what I should be doing today... I'm sure it will be perfectly a calm day, however I am sensing a distinct lack of cupcakes! Speaking of which, my linen tea towels are an essential kitchen item, and come in a pretty pink cupcake design, check them out on my website!
