A few weeks ago I was asked by a customer to make a special tea towel for a wedding anniversary, I soon realised the task in hand would require the design to be sewn in a way that was a little different to my usual style of sewing. I was asked to make a tea towel depicting the family's home in the Lake District, on a large scale taking up half of the tea towel...
I was a bit daunted at first but am really pleased with how it has turned out. My customer was also very happy and I'm now making a second one (a mini series of tea towels!) with some different appliquéd sections and I'm finding it all very exciting!
Firstly what a fabulous house! The fact that its in the Lake District is even better (the most beautiful place on the planet), and what a challenge for you, it has turned out very well,
